Happy July 4th + Parties

Tomorrow is the 4th of July and the list of activities is long! An early morning breakfast, followed by our small town parade, activities for kids at the park and then a BBQ ending with fireworks! Whew! Since I will be on the move all day I will need an outfit that will go from morning to night. I decided to wear blue and white and keep the red for the flags, the festive drinks, the flowers and the cherry pie. I am planning on wearing either capris or jeans since we live at 6000 feet above sea level and the evenings can cool down in the summer. I also cannot live without my favorite wedges (but will carry flats tucked away in my handbag for later!). For casual jewelry I love to keep it simple: a Victorian cuff bracelet and favorite hoops made by artist jeweler Melissa Skarsten.

Marianne:
P, happy 4th! Wow, are you going to be busy tomorrow! I'm liking the outfit you've put together but why no red
? It's one of the few times a year that you can totally overdue it and no one can say boo!
Pamela:
M, your Texas upbringing of "More is More" is really showing here!
I do agree that red, white and blue makes a great statement so I will concede and have red polish on my toes!
Marianne:
P, hey, hey, hey, you know what they say: "don't mess with Texas"! Yes, on the toes!
